Description X unaltered X original site _ moved date covered in decorative poly-chromatic imbricated slate. A projecting bay with hip roof represents masonic emblemage. The rear elevation, in general, is void of the ornamental details. Exterior rehabilitation included sandblasting in 1976. and woodwork remains, however, particularly in the downstairs. The basement is divided into separate cellars for fruit, wine and coal, and there is a brick cooking area there. There are many barns, sheds-and equipment related to the dairy farm on site, however, Condition ruins fair Check one separate living units in the upstairs and downstairs.Much of the original hardware A bracketed projecting cornice with decorative frieze panels embellishes the roofline. is centered in the facade.Above the second story bay window is the inscription Two ornamental single story porches flank the sides of the house.

Description of the property

The interior of the housewas extensively remodeled in 1956,establishing the two date. A gently rising lane approaches the home and encircles it.It sits off the road Openings in the house are attenuated 1/l light double hung windows with bracketed 5 bay by 5 bay stretcher bond brick structure which sits on a rock-faced ashlar stone Xexcellent shape near the tri-county line of Union, Logan and Champaign Counties. It is a 2 story "1877-S. Clark." There are five chimneys on the house, all with corbeling and detail. carved stone lintels with keystones and lug sills. Some of the carving in the house The Fort is an outstanding rural Italianate farmhouse of symmetrical, yet irregular plan they do not contribute to the architectural merit of the property because of their late unexposed deteriorated and is visible from miles around.
