Description - excellent -x unaltered X original site x good e - moved The Brown Township Hall, or Ansonia Town Hall, is located in the village of Ansonia building with stylistic ornamentation at the doors, windows and roofline. The frontispiece that contains recessed transomed double doors, flanked on the first rondelles, floral incisings and drop labels. A half-round parapet with the crown and ball trim. over-sized transoms once flanked the double doors on the first level, but connected to the 1883 structure. The interior is in an unusual state of preservation, probably because it has wooden seats, a hardwood floor, a raised stage, and an embossed tin ceiling.
