Description _ excellent X original site -moved The Evans house is a two story, three bay, half-dovetail notch log structure with a Sandra Erb, the house was sided over with horizontal clapboards in the 1940's. Early photos of the house substantiate this, as they show exposed logs on the exterior. hand-made brick, laid in running bond with intermittant headers. The entire chimney were smoothed by a hand plane, indicating that they were intended to be exposed. The first floor originally contained a single partition running north-south, to the west side of the front door; this, however, was removed during a subsequent remodeling. The Outbuildings on the site include a privy, root cellar and barn, constructed during the unexposed ruins fair included in this nomination.

Description of the property
