The gable roof with overhanging eaves was once covered with pressed metal roofing and south gable end, from the eaves upward is filled in with horizontal tongue and groove Remaining original interior details include "liquid slate" blackboards applied to the plaster walls. These run along the south wall and partially along the side walls. There are also ornamental window and closet trim and cornerboards, tongue and groove beaded wainscot, some pieces of chairrail, plinth boards and wood floor.
