Description of the property
All of these windows except the one above the apse are lancet-shaped locally, as were the kneeling benches, in 1889. The ceiling 1s all- Trinity Episcopal Church presents much the same appearance today as stained glass lancet windows and buttresses housing the furnace. and feature several different designs. A small vestibule is formed by window on each side of the belfry and one above the double front doors. the front wall of the church,flanking the belfry, and a stained glass it did in 1882 with the exception of the belfry which was added in 6o' rectangle, facing east, with the semi-circular apse on the west eleetrie in 1938.There is no plumbing in the building, but it is AREAS OF

Trinity Episcopal Church has been a beloved landmark in the McArthur structures in town and 1s in constant use as a minister's study, summer Gothic Revival style of church architecture. It is a beautiful old 1400-1499 1700-1799 SIGNIFICANCE COMMERCE ART INVENTION PERIOD PHILOSOPHY CONSERVATION AGRICULTURE THEATER MILITARY INDUSTRY EXPLORATION/SETTLEMENT who also served parishes in Athens and Logan, supervised the construction, LITERATURE SCIENCE _ECONOMICS PREHISTORIC ARCHEOLOGY-PREHISTORIC _COMMUNICATIONS housing for ministerial students and meetings! church, quite the most attractive and outstanding public structure in featuring several different designs!
pride on Sunday, June 24,1883,when the first services were held in the Historical deeded the land for the church and also gave a small wooden house directly XARCHITECTURE _EDUCATION 1500-1599 and Presbyterians have joined forees and use their churches alternatley. _SOCIAL/HUMANITARIAN area since its construction began in 1882.Dr. and Mrs. Andrew Wolf can remember. 1600-1699 X.RELIGION _MUSIC _OTHER (SPECIFY) which cost $2,400 Oscar W. G1lman, well-known Vinton County contractor, to the church and it is still in use today. As mentioned before, the In use today. 1889 SCULPTURE The Episcopalians of McArthur and the surrounding area had been holding services in the Court House since 1863.
The parish house, mentioned above as a rectory, is one of the oldest Trinity Episcopal Church is a beautiful and olassic example of the Late designed the building(and probably did the actual construction work, al- though this cannot be definitely proven) and later added the belfry in heard its sweet-toned bell calling them to services longer than anyone new Trinity Episcopal Church.
