Present Ovaier : Brief Statement of Significance ; Near site of Loramie Portage, Locktngton, Shelby County, Ohio State of Ohio, Anthony Wayne Parkvray Board, and High Streets, Columbus, Ohio The locks are the highest point on the Miami and Erie Canal, commenced in from Cincinnati to Dayton and completed in to Toledo. l!he locks are near the site of Loramie Portage; see page Vol. 2, Historical Collections of ghio *>y Henry Howe. The site is now a dry hillside with five 'stone locks Within one-half mile as shown in photograph with this report. Supply canal wound along hillsides from Loramie Reservoir.
