The tornado moved north northeast and caused considerable damage to a homestead where a home lost part of its roof. A couple rode out the storm inside the home but were not injured. Several storage and outbuildings were destroyed. Several power poles were snapped and downed along its path. No injuries were reported.

The Gray County Emergency Manager reported that the gust produced a cross wind on State Road 70 which tipped 2 semi-tractor trailers. No reports of injuries accompanied this report.

September 2013Thunderstorm WindAlanreed$2,000A broken line of thunderstorms moved across the southern Texas Panhandle during the evening hours of the 27th. As this line approached the city of Alanreed (Gray County), a member of the public reported that a thunderstorm wind gust blew a tree down onto the Interstate 40 on ramp. This tree blocked the one ramp for several hours before it could be removed. This line continued to move eastward across the southern Texas Panhandle after producing this damage.

Moving NE, the tornado peaked in intensity as it approached and moved parallel to the lake and through the north side of the Lake McClellan campground. Peak damage included numerous large tree branches and several trees uprooted or snapped. A few recreational vehicles in the campground also sustained some damages. The tornado dissipated ENE of Lake McClellan just north of McClellan Creek.

As this supercell moved north of the town of Clarendon (Donley County), a member of the public reported that ping pong ball size hail (1.50 inches) damaged a skylight on a camper at Lake McClellan (Donley County). After producing this hail, the supercell continued to move northeastward across the county.
May 2013HailAlanreed-A rapidly intensifying supercell moved to the northeast across southern Grey County. A storm chaser traveling north along US Highway 70 intercepted the storm south of the Farm to Market road 2447 and US Highway 70 intersection. The storm chaser reported that the supercell produced hen egg size hail on US Highway 70. The supercell continued a northeasterly track and crossed Farm to Market road 2477 before merging with a developing squall line.
