Broadcast media relayed a picture of a funnel cloud near the same time and location of the previous report. A NWS storm survey revealed that this tornado began in northern Bailey County along County Road 54 between Farm to Market Road 3125 and County Road 1038. This tornado went to the north-northeast to overturn a center pivot irrigation system before crossing into Parmer County and turning to the north-northwest.
May 2010HailProgress$10,000Trained weather spotters reported very large hail of 3.75 inches in rural Bailey County. Minor damage was reported to vehicles along U.S. Highway 84.
September 2024FloodProgress-A storm chaser reported water over the roadway near the intersection of Farm to Market Roads 1731 and 1760.
May 2019Tornado (EFU)Progress-Storm chasers observed a landspout tornado for less than one minute in far northern Bailey County over open land. The tornado did not cause any damage, hence the EFU rating.
June 2015Flash FloodProgress-Flash flooding was observed over a portion of Northwest Bailey County, southwest of Muleshoe. Farm to Market Road 746 was covered with sand and mud after water receded following radar estimates of six to eight inches of rain.
October 2015HailProgress-Broadcast media relayed a report from the public of tennis ball size hail six miles south of Farwell, or about two miles west of West Camp in Bailey County. No damage was reported.
May 2010HailProgress-A storm chaser reported half dollar size hail along U.S. Highway 84 in Bailey County. By 14:51 CST, the hail was intermittently mixed with very large 3.75 inch hail stones. No significant damages were reported.
June 2009HailProgress-Local law enforcement and emergency management officials reported that large hail up to the size of quarters fell along U.S. Highway 84 from near Progress to Muleshoe. At 18:45 CST marble to quarter size hail was initially reported just northwest of Progress. By 19:01 CST, dime to nickel size hail reportedly fell in Muleshoe.
March 2007Flash FloodProgress-Numerous secondary roads were reportedly inundated by flood waters in northwestern Bailey County. By 22:50 CST, law enforcement officials reported that Farm to Market Road 1760 had been closed due to flash flooding west of U.S. Highway 84.
