settlement's page as well.
Regional context, not property-specific
evidence. The National Weather Service names
Buckingham, the town this property stands in, in 8 storm reports between 1998 and 2025: 4 hail, 2 thunderstorm wind, 1 heavy rain, 1 funnel cloud.
No death or injury is recorded in these reports. Each account below is quoted exactly as the forecast office
filed it, from the NOAA Storm Events Database, and each date
opens the federal record of that event.
An NWS and Lee County Emergency Management storm survey found numerous homes that sustained straight-line wind damage. Damage included roof damage, fascia and pieces of lanai and pool screen enclosures being ripped from houses. Storm survey estimates winds were near 80 mph.
Broadcast media relayed pictures of trees down near Harns Marsh in Lehigh Acres. Most of the trees down were shallow rooted in a wet marsh area, and a nearby ASOS as Regional Southwest Airport recorded wind gusts of 45 mph.
A spotter living along the south bank of the Orange River in Buckingham reported the river was rising rapidly from the previous day's rains and a barn was flooded.
