Peggy's Beauty Shop is historically significant as a ca. commercial structure located with the town of Odum. Architectural details of this one story, square mass, frame building include a pyramidal roof, metal casement windows, plaster interior walls, an acoustical tile ceiling and linoleum floors. A metal canopy is located in front of the building. History: Constructed ca. this building has housed several businesses before the beauty shop opened during the Local residents report that a hat shop operated in this building when first built. During the a service station operated in this location.
A small restaurant specializing in chicken operated in this building immediately prior to the beauty shop.
