The Aspinwall Building is historically significant as a c. commercial structure located within the town of Odum. It contributes to an understanding of the commercial development of this early twentieth century railroad town. Description: All that remains of the Aspinwall Building is a brick shell which measures approximately 20 feet wide by 28 feet deep. Architectural details still apparent include 2/2 wood sash windows, and a front entrance with transom light. Both the floor and roof are gone, allowing for the gro~th of vegetation within this shell. History: The Aspinwall Building was constructed c. The Aspinwalls acquired the building and its current tract (20 feet fronting U.S.
Highway 341 by 93 feet deep) on July 30, Aspinwall purchased it from Odum (Wayne County Deed Book 46, page On October 25, OdGm acquired the building on a larger tract, 48 feet fronting by 93 feet deep, from E.W. Ogden Wayne County Deed Book 43, page On December 8, Ogden purchased the building from the Odum Banking Company (Wayne County Deed Book 39, pages .
