Population over time
3 figuresNorth Zanesville grew from 3,013 to 3,116 between 2000 and 2020. These are the recorded population figures Wikidata holds for this place, reached through the Geographic Names Information System number this page is keyed on rather than by name, so they belong to this place and not to another of the same name. Most are census counts, but not all are: an early figure may be a founding or settlement estimate. The change column is computed, and is left blank where more than 20 years separate a figure from the one before it, because a gap that long is not a change between two counts.

What happened here
An account from the chapter on Falls township, in the words of 1882.
Sabbath School In Early Times
Archibald McCann was very devoted to the welfare of the young people of his neighborhood, and on Sabbath gave his whole time to teaching ; opening school in the morning, and continuing all day - in studying the Bible. Mr. McCann was drowned in the canal at Zanesville, on the night of March 29th, 1839. "^^^ drawbridge had been left open, and, the night being dark, he did not discover it, and, walking off, fell into the water.
