ABBOT Isaac, with wife Marah or Mary, came from Pomfret, Connecticut, in November, 1769, with seven children. These were recorded in Princeton, where four others were afterwards born and recorded. The family then disappears from the town records and no further information is obtainable. The children were:
Several distinct families of this name are recorded in Princeton, the ancestry of only one of which has been determined ; that of Moses, a lineal descendant of Walter^ Allen of Old Newbury, 1640, who with his wife Rebecca and family moved to Watertown prior to April, 1662, at which time he was a proprietor and was one of a Coroner's Jury, July 19, 1663. On Oct. i, 1673, by deed of gift he conveyed lands in Watertown to his sons Daniel and Joseph and soon after moved to Charlestown where he engaged in business as a "haberdasher of hats." Here he Married (2d) Nov. 29, 1678, Abigail Rogers and died July 8, 1681. His oldest son John^ lived in Sudbury and had Benjamin^ whose son Zebediah^ was father of Jonathan^ The latter moved to Barre in 1750, and there died at the age of loi.
