Fulton and Chestnut Streets were deeded for the site of the new court- turned over to the county commissioners and two lots on the corner of named in memory of Robert Fulton. records were lost at that time.In 1865,a new brick building was In 1869 an enabling act passed and the county seat was moved to Wauseon The last court of common pleas of Fulton County in the Ottokee courthouse was no longer well situated for the county seat since it did not have contract.The building was completed in 1872 at a cost of $45,772.
