A thunderstorm downburst with peak winds estimated to be at least 85 mph caused considerable damage on the northeast side of Warren. A distinct two mile long path of damage was observed. The first damage was observed in the Lincoln Park area of Warren. The damage path then stretched northeast across a neighborhood bordered to the south by Reeves Road and to the east by North Road. At least three apartment buildings along Cranberry Lane in this neighborhood sustained roof and siding damage. About a dozen homes in the area also sustained minor damage, mainly from missing siding or shingles. A couple of the homes did have trees land on them causing more significant roof damage. Dozens of trees and large limbs were downed along the damage path which was up to 150 yards in width. The damage path ended just east of State Route 82 near where it crosses Mosquito Creek.
A line of showers and thunderstorms moved east across Trumbull County knocking down trees throughout the county. Scattered power outages were reported.
Trumbull County Dispatch reported severe thunderstorm winds caused widespread trees and power lines down across the County, especially in Warren and Girard. Numerous power outages in Warren and Girard with many trees on homes causing roof damage.
Thunderstorm winds downed many trees, A house on the northwest side of Warren suffered major structural damage from a fallen tree. The tree damaged a large section of roof and crushed an exterior wall.

Description of the property
The central, double entrance doors, with their ovoid glass panels, open onto a flat-roofed porch with a second story balcony, an'entablature that recalls the one above, tall corner brackets, stilted flat-topped arches, and fluted Corinthian columns. The side elevations, while less decorated, have a variety of polygonal and rectangular bay windows, one with leaded-glass transoms and another with The interior detail is mostly original. This includes the central stair, the marble electric lights running along the ceiling molding in the parlors, the painted fruit between the two original parlors, and the high wainscot in the stairhall and dining room.

/ARCHITECT STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE The Mc Lain-Gillmer House, with its historical connections to some of Warren's The site was purchased in 1853 and the house begun in 1854, taking several years later served as a Mayor, Postmaster, Banker, and Newspaper Editor. The Mc Lain sons too were active in Warren life, one writing a history of its schools Elmer Woods Gillmer bought the house from the Mc Lain family in 1894. A founder of the Peerless Electric Company (now H. K. Porter), Gillmer was a pioneer in Jennie Holloway Gillmer, also was an artist with a good local reputation. The concern for preservation among Warren's citizens.

The house itself was a center of Warren's social life as well as the recipient of leading civic and financial figures and its vigorous interpretation of the Victorian (Millionaire's Row) that is still virtually intact.Its architectural exuberance -1600-1699 Italian Villa style, is a landmark of considerable local significance. -1500-1599 organizations before becoming the Trumbull Art Guild in 1969. After Mrs.Gillmer's death in 1947, the structure housed several Warren property is still owned by members of the Gillmer family. -1400-1499 is a reflection of the entrepreneurial spirit of its original owners and of the -ENGINEERING X.SOCIAL/HUMANITARIAN _ECONOMICS -1900- -LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE to complete.
