“Stevens Warren Flower, late a highly respected and influential citizen of Toledo, at one time a resident of Maumee, a gallant soldier in the great Civil war, and for many years an active and prominent figure in commercial and religious circles in the county, was a native of the old Empire State, having first beheld the light of day in the town of Clayton, Jefferson county, New York, Aug. 21, 1832. He was descended of highly honorable ancestry.”

In 1850 he entered into a professional partnership with H. B. Curtis, of Mt. Vernon, which continued for nineteen years, when Mr. Scribner removed to Toledo and became associated with the late Frank H. Hurd. Prior to this Mr. Scribner had been elected a member of the Ohio Senate from the district comprising Holmes, Wayne, Knox and Morrow counties, and while there he was chair¬ man of the Judiciary Committee. In the Senate he introduced the Criminal Code prepared by Frank H. Hurd, his predecessor in the Senate, and himself prepared the Municipal Code of the State.

Judge Scribner was married Oct. 20, 1847, to Miss Mary E. Morehouse, of Homer, Ohio, and was the father of four daughters and four sons, the eldest of whom became his business partner, in 1871, and is still a well known member of the Toledo bar.

Put-in-Bay Township had several roads wash out due to high water, with recurring standing water issues at Middle Bass Island's Burgundy Bay subdivision. The Lake Erie water levels flooded agricultural fields and resulted in no crops on some fields in Sandusky County. Several seasonal and year round properties need to be elevated due to repeated flooding this year.

Rainfall rates at times exceeded two inches per hour. A total of 4.04 inches was measured near downtown Toledo. Widespread urban and lowland flooding was reported in Toledo and West Toledo. Flooding was reported on dozens of streets and highways including Interstate 475. Many roads had to be closed because of flood waters two to three deep. Many vehicles became stranded in the flood waters and several people had to rescued. Hundreds of homes sustained damage, mainly from basement flooding.

More vehicles became stranded and at least two more people had to be rescued. Hundreds of homes sustained damage, mainly from basement flooding.

There was also a report of Shantee Creek flooding near Crawford Avenue.

A CoCoRaHS rain gauge measurement in East Toledo reported a storm total rainfall amount of 3.30 inches, which matches radar estimates from the area.

(in one paragraph) The Bush Street neighborhood history and development revolved around the Muellers, Bush Street developed later and under different conditions than nearby vistula. It organized by Major B. F. Stickney, the flamboyant developer of Vistula and former U.S. Indian Agent in Fort Wayne, Indiana; and Ralph E. Bush, after whom the street was named. district, as well as the government of Toledo.
