HISTORICAL INFORMATION A. Physical History: 1. Date of erection: (date stone in foundation wall). 2. Architect, "builder and suppliers: Unknown. Because of the style and detail, it is thought that the architect may have been Augustus Grosvenor, who designed and "built the North Shaker Building, later known as the "Rural Home." 3* Original and subsequent owners: The Harvard Shakers; the Shakers sold the property to Fiske Warren of Harvard, in who incorporated it into his single-tax Tahanto Enclave; it was then sold to Mr. and Richard Wait in Mr. and Benjamin R. Foster bought the property from the Waits in h. Alterations and additions: Some alterations were made by Bruce Elwell, a Boston architect, in Minor remodeling was carried out by Bayard Underwood, AIA, in B.
