In Hampshire County dime-size hail fell and trees and wires were knocked down blocking roads in the town of Ware. Trees were blown down in Hardwick and Warren in Worcester County. Trees were also reported blown down and one house damaged in the Pittsfield area of Berkshire County. In Hampden County trees were blown down in Agawam, Westfield, and South Hadley. A window was smashed by flying debris in a house in South Hadley, and traffic signs were blown down in West Springfield. Power outages affected up to 6,000 electric customers in western Massachusetts. Lightning strikes started minor fires in some homes.
