A thunderstorm downburst with winds estimated at 80 mph caused considerable damage along York Road between Albion Road and State Route 82 . The damage path from the downburst was oriented from west to east and was a half mile wide and approximately one mile long. Several hundred trees were downed and many homes damaged. A few cars were also damaged by fallen trees. A man was hit by a falling tree. He was taken to a local hospital and treated for a large cut on his forehead.
Heavy rain and rapid snow melt led to widespread flooding across Cuyahoga County. Rainfall totals across the county averaged 2 inches. Up to ten inches of heavy snow was on the ground at the onset of the rain. This snow rapidly melted as temperatures warmed into the 50s on the 28th. Up to an additional inch of water equivalent rainfall was released from the melted snow. Dozens of homes in the county sustained damage, mainly from basement flooding. Many roads had to be closed because of the flooding. Several schools in North Royalton received considerable damage.
Thunderstorm winds knocked several trees down near the intersection of Bennett Road and York Road blocking the road. Other limbs were reported down across North Royalton and some fencing was blown down at an athletic field on Wallings Road.
Thunderstorm winds snapped the upper half of a 60ft-tall tree. Large sections of a black willow tree were snapped off as a result of the thunderstorm winds. Several other trees in the area were downed during this event.

Statement of significance
Areas of Significance (enter categories from instructions) Period of Significance , 1914 Significant Person style of architecture (1820-1860). In 1914, John B. Annis, introduced the Palladian window, popular in frame structures in the early 20th century, and the one-story columned porch, to reflect the Colonial Revival updating. North Royalton. It is an example of the upright-and-double-wing subtype, with two lower, windows with simple pediment surrounds, and the square-columned front porch, all establish returns. Although some of the Interior wood trim was replaced in 1914 the basic floor plan, original:floors, and four-panel: doors have been retained and contribute to the architecture in North Royalton. integrity, Including inappropriate additions and the introduction of new siding.
Two brick Greek Revival houses in North Royalton are noteworthy, but are not of the same plan Architecture Unknown Royalton.
