| When | Event | Place named | Harm | What the report says |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| June 2024 | Flash Flood | Broadview | - | Numerous thunderstorms grew upscale on the evening of the ninth due to several outflow boundaries. A very moist atmosphere allowed storms to produce heavy rainfall in addition to severe hail and winds. One of these storms moved over Lubbock County producing rain rates between three to five inches per hour. This caused many roads in and around the city of Lubbock to become impassable to due water over the roadway. There was a brief lull in activity between storms around 1800 CST through 2030 CST. An additional thunderstorm after 2030 CST again produced flash flooding due to heavy rainfall. |
| May 2023 | Flash Flood | Broadview | - | Numerous reports were received of flooded roads in the city of Lubbock and Lubbock County. Several roads were impassable and as a result were closed due to water over the roadway. Some vehicles became stranded in high waters. |
| September 2023 | Flash Flood | Broadview | - | Intense rain rates occurred with thunderstorm activity over central Lubbock County affecting the city of Lubbock in addition to the severe thunderstorm winds. Numerous vehicles became stalled out on the east side of the city of Lubbock. In addition, many roads were closed across Lubbock with water over the roadway. The flooding persisted well into the afternoon of the 15th as the water moved downstream into Buffalo Springs Lake and Ransom Canyon. A Texas Tech University West Texas mesonet site on the campus of Texas Tech University measured 2.43 inches of rain in 20 minutes. At least one home experienced flooding at Ransom Canyon on the south side of the lake. |
| May 2019 | Hail | Broadview | - | A trained spotter reported golf ball size hail near the intersection of US Highway 84 and Farm to Market Road 2528. |
| April 2009 | Hail | Broadview | - | A severe thunderstorm produced large hail over the northern portions of Lubbock shortly before 15:00 CST. Initial reports indicated that penny size hail fell over University Avenue, about four miles north of Loop 289. By 14:55 CST quarter size hail was reported in New Deal. |
| December 2007 | Tornado (EF0) | Broadview | - | A non-mesocyclonic tornado was photographed by the public as it traversed across open county just north of Lubbock around 17:20 CST on the 27th. The tornado apparently developed as towering cumuliform clouds formed above an advancing low-level boundary. Witnesses report that the tornado persisted for five minutes. No damage was reported. |
