Truxell Road, Peninsula vicinity, Summit County, Ohio Such structures made the surrounding park more accessible to nearby residents. They also show the work of the Civilian Conservation Corps which took place in the area. The shelter is built into a hillside, and has a ground floor made of local sandstone. The wood used throughout the structure is chestnut. The second floor contains picnic shelter space, while the first floor has changing rooms for the use of those who swim in the nearby lake. The structure was completed in October, and opened to the public the following summer. It was constructed to serve as a bathhouse, containing showers and dressing areas for men and women.

The toboggan run nearby was moved to the present location during the Due to deterioration and the possibility of injury, the toboggan run has not been open since the National Park Service took over the area in the early and probably will be removed.
