This document was undertaken from October through December, in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement dated between the City of Norwood, OH, the Ohio SHPO and the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation as a mitigative measure in connection with partial demolition of the plant. Le Blond Machine Tool Company: Service Garage HAER No. OH-71-F (Page 2) This one story brick garage structure is located at the northeast corner of the site at the intersection of Edwards Road and Arbor Place. It measures approximately ninety feet long by sixty feet wide. A garage door opens directly onto Arbor Place.
The building is flat roofed, has a clay tile coping around all sides, and a raised parapet line on the street side. Brick piers express the steel column spacing along the outside face of the long walls. Pivoting steel industrial windows appear on three sides. This structure has been used by the machine tool company for storage and as a credit union office. At one time it is believed to have garaged delivery trucks for the pre-1917 dairy which was on the site. R. K.
