This document was undertaken from October through December, in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement dated between the City of Norwood, OH, the Ohio SHPO and the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation as a mitigative measure in connection with partial demolition of the plant. Le Blond Machine Tool Company: Shotblast Filter Structure HAER No. OH-71-H {Page 2) This six foot square wood frame clapboard shed is located on the north side of the production building. It houses filters for the air compressors used in the shot blast process which takes place inside the adjacent area of the production building.
Shot blasting is a method used to clean rough castings by subjecting them to high pressure air and particles to scrub the surface of the metal prior to painting. R. K.
