This building was part of the improvements to the Lawrence Machine Shop yard by Everett Cotton Mills. It was constructed in When the mill was built, Everett Mills was the world's largest cotton mill. Everett Mills figured prominently in Lawrence's Bread & Roses Labor Strike. Description: This structure is a one story, square foot building. The roof consists of wood planks on timber beams spanning to granite walls. There are timber and steel pipe columns. The floor is a concrete slab on grade. History: Building 18 was constructed in It was used as a dust room (purpose and process unknown) and years later as an electrical distribution room that fed transformers and motor controls that ran such things as equipment and lighting. It was originally part of the Everett Mills Corp.

cotton mills complex. Years later, around it was bought by the plastics manufacturer, Bolta Company. Then, in it was owned by General Tire & Rubber Company, later to be named GenCorp Inc., a plastics and vinyl manufacturer.
