This is a representative example of turn of the century working class housing stock in the city. It is part of a row of nearly identical buildings and thus is part of the of the streetscape within this potential national Register historic district. Unlike several of its neighbors, this house retains its original shiplap siding exposed on its exterior. Description: This narrow T-shaped house rises two stories from a low masonry foundation and has its gable end facing the street. A single broad first floor window is set below a pair of smaller second floor windows, all with one-over-one sash. A narrow porch is set along the side and extends back to the slightly projecting lateral gabled wing.

The lateral gable roof projects through the opposite side to form an attic gable, although the wing does not project on this other side. Behind this lateral gable section is a lower one-story rear wing with a gable roof It has a recessed rear porch at its northwest corner. Both the front and rear porches have been enclosed in more recent years. There is a slender lateral wall chimney near the front of the house and a simple chimney in the lower rear kitchen wing. History: Charles E. Pettienew worked as a machinist and resided at 366 Ludlow Avenue, according to the and city directories. He was listed on the water tap permit as the homeowner in He probably rented this house out and may have erected other houses on this street. The plumbing contractor was W. H. Dugdale & Son of W.

Pleasant St. who took out the permit for this building in By this was the residence of Louis and Ada Reamy. He worked as a laborer, probably at a nearby factory. Louis H. Reamy continued to live here until at least a fairly long occupancy of a house in this neighborhood by a single family.
