This small story-and-a-half frame residence is a representative example of working class housing stock from the turn of the century that survives largely intact. It is notable for its Gabled Ell plan and unusually steep lateral gable roof, that is also somewhat off-center. Description: The house rests on a low masonry foundation and features an exterior faced with drop siding. Its L-shaped plan features a wrap-around front porch with hipped roof that fills in the angled area. A pair of first floor windows face the street beneath the front porch roof A single window is above. On the narrower side wing, only single windows are present at each floor. There are two front doors, although this is a single house. A one-story shed-roofed rear wing is present. Windows have one-over-one sash.

The house has a lateral and a rear chimney. A simple garage stands behind the house and appears to date from the post-World War II era. History: Mr. Daniel Gibson worked as a molder, probably at one of the nearby industrial establishments. He lived here in with Nellie Gibson. Gibson was listed as the owner on the water tap permit taken out that year by Cavanaugh & Co. plumbers. Charles F. Cavanaugh, plumber, resided at 59 East Madison Avenue and presumably operated his business from his residence. By this was the residence of home of Nellie Gibson, the widow of Daniel.
