This utilitarian structure was built to support the Charles Street Jail. It has lesser significance as a later component of the jail complex. Description: The red brick structure extends only six feet above grade. It adjoins the kitchen to the south, the jail to the west and the enclosing wall to the north with only the east elevation exposed. The windows are inward opening, six-light, wood casements. The interior is primarily white glazed- brick with plaster ceilings and concrete floors. History: The addition was built in in conjunction with the extension of the north wing of the jail.
