Eighth Street (Southside); 717 John Street; Seventh Street (Northside) Present Owners: Multiple Present Occupant and Use; Residential, to be demolished. Significance; The buildings represent a good concentrated row of late century buildings indicative of Cincinnati's wealth and importance in the development of Ohio. These build- ings are all that remain of this portion of the old west end, representing the last vestige of a larger area of Victorian housing. Date of erection: century buildings Architects; Unknown Architectural Description: The area, also referred to as the Queensgate II Redevel- opment Area, includes a total of eighteen century buildings. The structures are eclectic in style with some of the 2-3 story buildings exhibiting Queen Anne and Greek Revival influences.

Decorative lintel and cornice treatment are evident throughout.
