Dating from Building 217 is the only building at the facility that displays elements of the Craftsman style, such as splayed porch piers, a shed dormer, and exposed rafter ends. Description: Facing east, Building 217 is a two-story, four-unit residence, which was originally a duplex. Rectangular in plan, the building's most distinguishing feature is the full-width porch with a central gable, splayed piers, and a solid railing. The four paneled front entrance doors, clustered in the center, are accessed by two wood stairways, which originally had lattice and wood balustrades.
